Important: GOV.UK One Login is experiencing issues for users proving their identity Face to Face

Resolved - For information, the GOV.UK One Login service had an issue where the Face-to-Face Identity Proving Service was unavailable from 15:05 to 16:05. The Incident is now resolved. We are investigating the root cause with the Vendor.

Investigating - We are aware of and investigating a problem with GOV.UK One Login service. Users are currently unable to sign in using their GOV.UK One Login account. We're looking into this as a matter of urgency and will update you as soon as we know more.

Scheduled - Essential maintenance planned for identity proving service on Sunday 8th Feb 2026 between 6 pm till 11:59 pm.
Please note that services will remain available throughout most of the maintenance window however, users may experience a disruption for about 60 seconds while trying to prove identity using Web and GOV.UK One Login app.

There is no impact to GOV.UK ID Check app users.
