Essential maintenance planned for web based identity proving service using passport on Saturday 19 April 2025 between 8 am to 6pm.
The probability for a downtime is very low, however there could be a short duration where users may experience disruption due to upgrade activities being carried out by the service provider on that day. The disruption will only be limited to using a passport on the web for proving identity.
Mobile App users and all other means of proving identity on the web will remain unaffected.

Scheduled - Essential maintenance planned for web based identity proving service using passport on Saturday 12 April 2025. At the moment, we are unable to provide a definite time window as it has not yet been communicated to us by our supplier.
Although a downtime is not expected, there could be a short duration where users may experience disruption due to upgrade activities being carried out by the service provider on that day. The disruption will only be limited to using a passport on the web for proving identity.

Monitoring - A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.

Investigating - We are aware of and investigating a problem with GOV.UK One Login.

Users are unable to verify and reuse their identity via the web journey, though they can still sign in.

The mobile journey is not affected, and users can continue to use it without issue.

We're looking into this as a matter of urgency and will update you as soon as we know more.

Resolved - We had a problem with GOV.UK One Login. Authentication service was impacted for some users between 11:05 to 11:45 AM.
This meant that some government services users were unable to sign-in to One Login during this window.
This is a retrospective notification.
